Ethereum L2 network Taiko officially launched a new public testnet called Hoodi on September 25, which has now become its main developer environment. Hoodi will serve as the main testing environment for developers of Ethereum-based TaikoRollup (rolling layer). Meanwhile, the long-serving Hekla testnet will be decommissioned on September 30, in line with the Ethereum Foundation's decision to scrap the Holesky testnet on which Hekla is based.
On April 25th, the Ethereum L2 project Taiko announced that the Hekla testnet has been opened to the public, supporting EIP-4844 functionality, and the mainnet will be launched soon. New features: no longer need to file L1 nodes; enable EIP-4844DA blocks; adjust L2 block gas issuance and cap; fine-tune EIP1559 configuration; improve daemon proof infrastructure; support two-step claim of L2 to L1 bridge tokens. In addition to this, Hekla uses the same competition-based Rollup (BCR) mechanism as K...
