Ethereum L2 network Taiko officially launched a new public testnet called Hoodi on September 25, which has now become its main developer environment. Hoodi will serve as the main testing environment for developers of Ethereum-based TaikoRollup (rolling layer). Meanwhile, the long-serving Hekla testnet will be decommissioned on September 30, in line with the Ethereum Foundation's decision to scrap the Holesky testnet on which Hekla is based.
On March 19, Ethereum core developer TimBeiko announced that the new testnet Hoodi has been launched to help complete the Pectra test. The Pectra upgrade will be launched on the Hoodi testnet next Wednesday, and the Ethereum testnet Holesky will be maintained until September.
Holesky...
