Shutter reduces the MEV problem in the blockchain and protects the privacy of transactions through threshold encryption technology. The technology originally adopted the encryption method of each block cycle, but has been improved to transaction-by-transaction encryption and has been launched on the RPC endpoint of Gnosis Chain. However, the study found that when the cycle key is rebuilt, the transactions that are not included in the block may also be exposed, exposing latent risks. (Cointelegra...
(Cointelegraph)

Ethereum sidechain Gnosis Chain has announced that Shutter's threshold encryption technology has been implemented on the mainnet for the first time. This beta version brings an encrypted memory pool to Gnosis Chain to protect users from malicious MEV attacks. This is the second major Shutter use case to go live after Shielded Voting for Snapshot.
On June 24th, the Shutter team said that the protocol launched a new anti-front-running (preemptive trading) solution that uses memory pool encryption to combat MEV attacks that take nearly $900 million a year from crypto transactions. By partnering with Gnosis, Shutter will be integrated into the fully EVM-compliant L1 Gnosis chain to protect end users from preemptive trading and sandwich attacks, protecting traders from malicious MEV activities that can lead to significant monetary losses and ...
