The Republic of Palau has partnered with Japanese blockchain developer Soramitsu Labs to build a government bond issuance platform. The platform is based on distributed ledger technology (DLT) and is scheduled to begin system testing later this year as Palau looks to issue its first bond in 2025.
Palau has contracted Soramitsu Labs, a DLT firm, to develop a government bond issuance platform with the goal of using it as an investor for less than 20,000 people in Palau.
