According to Cointelegraph, Check Point research shows that a malicious software campaign codenamed "JSCEAL" is impersonating nearly 50 commonly used cryptocurrency trading apps around the world, including Binance, MetaMask, and Kraken. The campaign has been active since March 2024, by serving malicious ads to induce users to download fake apps with malicious software. Research shows that 35,000 malicious ads have been placed in the first half of 2025, affecting the European Union alone.
