Tether has launched its cross-chain USDT0 token using cryptocurrency exchange Kraken's native Ethereum extension layer 2 network, Ink. It is reported that USDT0 hopes to develop into a cross-chain "unified liquidity layer", making the transfer of USDT in the crypto ecosystem easier. It uses LayerZero's Omnichain Fungible Token standard, a repeater designed to mint and destroy tokens on different blockchains.
OpenAI filed a motion to dismiss a lawsuit against it by Elon Musk, alleging that Mr. Musk used the legal system to harass it in order to boost the standing of rival company xAI. Mr. Musk filed a lawsuit in February claiming that OpenAI had deviated from its "not-for-profit" intent, but refiled it in August after withdrawing it in June. OpenAI alleged that Mr. Musk's allegations were without merit and asked the court to dismiss the case. A hearing is scheduled for November 12.
Two brothers, Anton and James Peraire-Bueno, will stand trial on October 14, 2025, in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York for allegedly stealing $25 million in cryptocurrency by utilizing a Maximum Extractable Value (MEV) bot.
