Tether has launched its cross-chain USDT0 token using cryptocurrency exchange Kraken's native Ethereum extension layer 2 network, Ink.
It is reported that USDT0 hopes to develop into a cross-chain "unified liquidity layer", making the transfer of USDT in the crypto ecosystem easier. It uses LayerZero's Omnichain Fungible Token standard, a repeater designed to mint and destroy tokens on different blockchains.
