On August 17, it was reported that Solana's new consensus protocol Alpenglow proposal SIMD-0326 has entered the community governance stage. Alpenglow aims to shorten the block finalization time from 12.8s to nearly 150ms. The proposal will enter the voting stage at Epochs840-420 (currently 834, an Epoch is about 2 days).
