Solana co-founder expounds vision for Solana Mobile's upcoming SKR token

Solana co-founder Toly explained his vision for Solana Mobile's upcoming SKR token, saying the technology stack was "far from ready" but that in theory the token would give the holder vertical control over the phone, user experience and revenue capture, according to market sources. "SKR and SMS [features] are token holder value capture using cryptography and Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs)," he added.
Previously, it was reported that Solana Mobile will launch SKR tokens in January 2026, with 30% used for airdrops.
