Crypto investment firm Blockstream plans to acquire TradFi hedge fund Corbiere Capital

Crypto investment firm Blockstream Capital Partners (BCP) said in a press release Thursday that it plans to acquire Corbiere Capital Management, a Jersey-based equity hedge fund founded in 2023 by Rodrigo Rodriguez.
Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. BCP said the acquisition of Corbiere Capital Management would add equity and event-driven strategies to its existing bitcoin-related products and create a multi-strategy platform for institutional investors. The merger aims to create a more diversified portfolio that combines traditional securities with exposure to bitcoin-related investments. Rodriguez will become chief investment officer at BCP's newly formed asset management entity, Blockstream Capital Management.
