On November 28th, according to Zhitong Finance, Saul Knapps of Scope Markets said that due to the system outage of CME Group, US equity traders are preparing for the turbulence after the opening of the US market when the market reopens after the Thanksgiving holiday. He said that the outstanding orders caused by the freezing of futures trading, including the S & P 500 and Nasdaq 100, will lead to a large number of orders when trading resumes. Due to the suspension of futures trading, "the market has temporarily lost one of the main tools to determine where the price should be," Knapp said. Before the system outage, U.S. stock index futures were higher, with Nasdaq futures frozen at a 0.2% gain, while futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S & P both rose 0.1%.
