Nigerian man sentenced to 6 years in prison for 2 million US dollar cryptocurrency "love scam"

The Colorado State Attorney's Office announced today that Adetomiwa Seun Akindele, a 37-year-old Nigerian man, has been sentenced to 71 months in prison for carrying out a cryptocurrency "love scam". It is reported that Akindele posed as an Italian-American businessman "Frank Labato" during 2018 and defrauded a Colorado widow of about 1.70 million dollars in cryptocurrency through a dating website.
