挪威政府周五表示，该国计划暂时禁止采用最耗电技术开采加密货币的新数据中心建立，以便为其他行业节约电力。 数字化与公共管理部长 Karianne Tung 表示，工党政府明确打算尽可能限制挪威的加密货币开采活动，加密货币开采非常耗电，而且为当地社区创造的就业机会和收入微乎其微。政府表示，可能会在 2025 年秋季实施这一临时禁令。
