U.S. Congressman: SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce Could Become SEC's New Acting Chairperson
Republican SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce is "likely" to become the new acting chairperson of the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC), Congressman French Hill revealed at the North American Blockchain Summit (NABS). He noted that after current Chairperson Gary Gensler steps down on January 20, 2025, the Republicans will take over the SEC, and Peirce is expected to succeed him.
