Crypto venture capital firm Paradigm has announced a $13.5 million investment in Brazilian stablecoin startup Crown, valuing the company at $900,000. Crown's BRLV stablecoin, pegged to the Brazilian real and fully backed by Brazilian government bonds, has become the world's largest emerging market stablecoin. Unlike Tether, which has zero interest rates, BRLV offers institutional clients up to 15% of Brazil's base rate, with subscriptions now exceeding R 360 million (~ $66 million).

Crown, a Brazilian stablecoin company, announced the completion of a $8.10 million seed round led by Framework Ventures, with participation from Valor Capital Group, Coinbase Ventures, Norte Ventures, Paxos, and Nubank co-founder Ed Wible. The new funds will be used to support the company's launch of a stablecoin BRLV, which is pegged to the Brazilian real (BRL) and fully backed by Brazilian government bonds.

On September 9th, the Hong Kong digital asset exchange OSL announced that Crown Research, wholly owned by Liu Shuai, signed a subscription agreement with OSL to subscribe for up to 47,518,000 new shares of OSL at HK $14.90 per share, with a total proceeds of more than HK $700 million. After the subscription is completed, Crown Research will hold 29.951% of OSL's shares. OSL also said that 50% of the proceeds will be used for strategic acquisitions.
