On July 9, Alibaba (09988.HK) Hong Kong Stock Exchange announced that it has completed the private placement of zero-coupon exchangeable bonds with a total principal amount of HK $12.023 billion and maturing in 2032. The bonds constitute the unsecured and non-subordinated debt of Alibaba Group. The bonds do not generate regular interest. The bonds will mature on July 9, 2032, unless they are redeemed, repurchased or exchanged earlier than that date in accordance with the terms of the bonds.
