On August 29, CoinGape tweeted that the Indonesian authorities are considering banning the chat software Telegram and the live-streaming software BIGO LIVE for allegedly distributing pornographic content and promoting online gambling. Budi Arie Setiadi, the Indonesian Minister of Communications and Information, revealed that the Ministry of Communications and Information has issued a "strong" warning to the two platforms, and that the response of Telegram and BIGO LIVE is not sufficient. "I would like to ban the above software immediately, but the team needs to conduct further research first."
