A spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce answered questions from reporters regarding the release of the 2024 Foreign Trade Barrier Assessment Report by the Office of the United States Trade Representative

On April 2nd, China believes that whether trade policies of various countries constitute barriers should be judged based on whether they violate WTO rules. The US report did not provide any evidence to prove that China's relevant policies and practices violated World Trade Organization rules, but arbitrarily accused China of having so-called "non market" policies and practices, as well as barriers in agricultural products, data policies, and other aspects. China firmly opposes this.
