U.S. natural gas futures fell, influenced by several factors, including reduced risk that August heat will boost power-sector demand and lower oil and European natural gas prices after the United States paused military strikes on Iran. According to Jin10, EBW Analytics analyst Eli Rubin said weak liquefied natural gas feedgas demand and rising production have worsened the soft outlook, while Texas heat may offer short-term support and falling temperatures along the Gulf Coast and in the Southeast may limit upside price risk.
