Both terminals at Gatwick Airport are being affected by a water supply issue, with toilets out of order and restaurants closed, according to BBC. The airport in West Sussex said a problem in the Horley area was affecting supplies and was under investigation. Bottled water is being made available to passengers and staff, while contingency measures are in place.
SES Water, which covers parts of Kent, Surrey and south London as well as the airport, said a power outage at its Bough Beech Water Treatment Works caused complications that left some customers with low water pressure or a temporary loss of supply. The company said it was working to restore normal service and confirmed Gatwick was affected. Easyjet said bag drop desks at London Gatwick would temporarily open two hours before departure instead of three, and advised passengers not to arrive early.
