The Kobeissi Letter posted on X that the total market value of global stocks has reached 137% of global GDP, close to a historical high. According to Odaily, the ratio has risen by about 40 percentage points since April 2025 and is at the peak level seen during the 2021 meme stock surge.
Global stock market capitalization rose to a record $166 trillion this month. U.S. stocks account for about $77 trillion of that total, or roughly 46% of global stock market value. The analysis said the AI boom has been one of the factors behind the expansion in global stock market capitalization in recent years.
