Boeing asks U.S. to press EU on Airbus €3 billion loan package

According to CNBC, Boeing has asked the U.S. government to seek transparency from the European Union over a €3 billion ($3.43 billion) loan package to Airbus, citing concern about the timing and terms of the financing. Boeing said the June 29 announcement from the European Investment Bank included an initial €1 billion tranche and came days after the EU extended the tariff truce tied to the Airbus-Boeing subsidy dispute. Boeing also pointed to Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury's comments that Airbus plans to begin work on an A320neo successor in 2030, with the internal project code name "eAction."
