Margin loan balances used to buy stocks in South Korea fell to 33.4 trillion won as of July 16, the lowest level since April 15, according to data from the Korea Financial Investment Association. According to Odaily, this was down 13% from the June 30 peak of 38.6 trillion won.
Other data showed that South Korean investor deposits fell to 108.1 trillion won on July 16, down from a high of 139.7 trillion won on June 4.
