Samsung Group Brand Value Rises To $97.4 Billion, Ranks Eighth Globally

According to Yonhap, Samsung Group's brand value reached $97.4 billion this year, up 8.9% from $89.4 billion a year earlier, according to Brand Finance, a global brand valuation consultancy. Samsung slipped one spot to eighth among major global technology companies but remained the only South Korean brand in the top 10.

SK hynix Inc. ranked 28th, up one place from the previous year. LG Group fell eight spots to 44th, Coupang Inc. ranked 49th after slipping one spot, and Naver Corp. rose five places to 95th. Brand Finance said the United States accounted for 46 of the top 100 brands, followed by China with 25 and Japan with nine, while Apple Inc. held first place with a brand value of $607.6 billion, ahead of Microsoft Corp., Google LLC and Amazon.com Inc.
