Ederson has agreed a new contract with Atalanta that runs to June 2031 after Manchester United pulled out of a €45m transfer, according to Yahoo Sports. The Italy club said there is nothing physically wrong with the Brazil midfielder, and director of sport Cristiano Giuntoli said Atalanta had been stunned by United’s reversal. The new deal includes an improved salary and no release clause. Sportitalia reported the figures as €3.5m per season plus performance-related bonuses. Ederson, 27, joined Atalanta from Salernitana in 2022 and his previous contract was due to expire at the end of the season.
