According to CNBC, ASML raised its guidance for the second time this year and reported stronger-than-expected quarterly results on Wednesday as customers continued to ramp up production of AI chips. CFO Roger Dassen said in a transcript of a video interview that China will contribute around 20% of ASML's revenue across 2026, even as U.S. political pressure intensifies around export controls on chipmaking equipment sold to Beijing. China brought in 2.9 billion euros ($3.3 billion) in the first six months of 2026, or about 16% of total revenue, and Dassen said the market remains important for the Dutch chip equipment maker.
