STOCKS | Chen Guo Says Market Is Entering This Year’s Golden Buying Opportunity

Chen Guo, deputy director of the research institute and chief strategist at East Money Securities, said he sees an N-shaped pattern for A-shares this year. According to Jin10, he said the market may be entering this year’s golden buying opportunity, and major indexes are expected to hit new highs in the second half of the year.

He gave five reasons: GDP growth is expected to improve in the second half of this year; A-share micro liquidity in the second quarter was a funding bottom and is expected to improve in the second half; sentiment indicators show A-share market sentiment has recently approached a low level; many high-quality non-tech assets are in the early stage of earnings recovery and remain at low valuations; and several high-quality Chinese true-tech companies are expected to list on A-shares in the second half, potentially attracting incremental capital, lifting market activity, and improving risk appetite. Chen said China's stock market is expected to stabilize soon and move higher in a volatile uptrend, and he remains constructive on non-bank financials, new and old energy, internet, healthcare, consumer stocks, and leading true-tech companies in China's domestic AI chain.
