SpaceXAI, affiliated with Elon Musk, announced on July 15 that it has open-sourced Grok Build and reset all user usage limits. According to Odaily, the company stated that since its launch, Grok Build fully respects the zero data retention principle, allowing all users to disable data upload in the command line interface. In the early beta version, non-zero data retention users had data retention enabled by default. Since July 12, the company has disabled default data retention for all Grok Build users and is deleting all previously retained encoded data to ensure each user's preferences are respected.
