The report, citing La Gazzetta dello Sport, states Buffon will be offered a position within Club Italia, the body overseeing national team activities from youth to senior levels. Buffon resigned after Italy's World Cup play-off final defeat to Bosnia and Herzegovina in March, alongside Gennaro Gattuso and FIGC President Gabriele Gravina.
