One of Russia's largest petrochemical enterprises, the Salavat Petrochemical Plant in the Ural region, suspended operations on Tuesday after a Ukrainian drone attack, according to two industry sources. According to Jin10, the local governor confirmed the attack but stated that production is expected to resume within a few days. The sources said the plant's two main refining units were damaged and shut down, along with some secondary units and other equipment. The halted primary units include the CDU-6 crude distillation unit with a daily processing capacity of 17,140 tons, and the CDU-4 unit with a daily capacity of 11,430 tons (including crude oil and condensate). Repair work may take weeks or even months, the sources added.
