Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said company leaders seriously considered shutting Ripple down after the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission sued in 2020.
According to NS3.AI, Garlinghouse said Ripple’s legal defense over four years cost about $150 million.
He added that preserving hundreds of jobs was a key factor in the decision to continue operating rather than close the company.
