Hyundai Motor America (HMA) and Hyundai Motor Mexico (HMM) completed a proof-of-concept for an enterprise cross-border settlement using the Axiym platform on the Avalanche network.
According to Foresight News, the test involved HMA converting $20,000 into USDT, transferring it to HMM, and then converting it back into U.S. dollars.
Tether said the end-to-end cross-border transfer and verification process averaged 7 minutes, compared with traditional interbank transfers that typically take more than 3 to 4 hours.
Tether added that the next phase will explore additional cross-border corridors and local-currency settlement scenarios.
