Josef Aschbacher, director general of the European Space Agency, said Europe needs to do much more to pursue greater autonomy in orbit, according to Bloomberg.
He said Europe is trailing the US in efforts to develop a space economy, a gap he said was underscored by SpaceX’s mega IPO in June.
