China is steering municipal borrowers away from issuing short-term bonds in the domestic market and has asked bankers to avoid underwriting such LGFV debt, according to people familiar with the matter, Bloomberg reported.
The move is the latest effort to curb fundraising by weaker issuers, the people said.
