Former OpenAI researcher Yonglong Tian has recently joined Tencent, according to people familiar with the matter. According to Jin10, sources said Tian may later participate in research and development related to VLMs, or vision-language models.
The sources said Tian previously worked with Tencent Hunyuan core member Yao Shunyu during his time at OpenAI. The report described Tian as a researcher with a career background focused on computer vision.
