Ledger Co-Founder Larchevêque Says $1 Million Bitcoin Would Signal Crisis, Not Success

Ledger co-founder Eric Larchevêque said a Bitcoin (BTC) price of $1 million would be “not good news,” arguing it would likely reflect war, debt crises and a collapsing fiat system rather than mainstream success. In a When Shift Happens podcast interview, according to BeInCrypto, he framed Bitcoin as insurance and a “final settlement tool” that gains value when systems break, citing rising government debt including more than $39 trillion owed by the US. Larchevêque said he expects BTC to reach $1 million but dreads the world that would produce it, adding he keeps almost all of his liquid net worth in Bitcoin and that his comments are not investment advice.
