Cathay Haitong (2611) said its board has received a written resignation from executive director and president Li Junjie due to a job reassignment, according to Ming Pao.
Li also resigned as a member of the board’s Risk Control Committee and will no longer hold any positions at the company or its holding subsidiaries after stepping down.
The board said it will complete the selection and appointment of a new president as soon as possible in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. It also agreed that chairman Zhu Jian will act as president from July 5, 2026, until the new president takes office.
