England’s World Cup last-16 match against Mexico at the Estadio Azteca will kick off as scheduled at 18:00 local time on Sunday (01:00 BST Monday) after FIFA reversed a proposal to move it earlier, according to Yahoo Sports. FIFA held talks with the English and Mexican football associations after suggesting a 12:00 local start because of possible thunderstorms, but decided to keep the original time following pushback; Mexico coach Javier Aguirre had called the proposed change a “kick in the stomach.”
