Venezuela’s largest refinery, the Amuay refinery, has resumed operations after a power outage, three sources said.
According to Jin10, the Amuay refinery, which has a daily processing capacity of 645,000 barrels, restarted on Friday and is currently processing about 140,000 barrels per day of crude oil. The refinery’s fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) unit has also resumed operations.
After two earthquakes last week that caused serious casualties, power outages affected multiple refineries in Venezuela, the sources said.
Another source said the El Palito refinery, which has a daily processing capacity of 146,000 barrels, has had its power restored, but staff have not yet been able to restart its production units.
