AEON, an AI agent settlement protocol, said it has expanded into Zambia by integrating with local mobile wallets Airtel Money and MTN Mobile Money to enable real-time fiat settlement between crypto assets and the Zambian kwacha.
According to ChainCatcher, AEON said it now supports crypto-to-fiat settlement in Zambia through these mobile money rails.
The company said it covers more than 50 million merchants globally and that the Zambia integration targets access for over 70% of local e-wallet users.
AEON also said it plans to extend its AI agent settlement network to emerging markets in Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia.
