Cape Verde reached the World Cup knockout stage for the first time after drawing 0-0 with Saudi Arabia to finish runners-up in Group H. Cape Verde ended on three points in their debut tournament, one point above Uruguay and Saudi Arabia, and will face defending champions Argentina in the last 32 at Miami Stadium on Friday, 3 July, according to Yahoo Sports. Saudi Arabia defender Hassan Al Tambakti was stretchered off after collapsing with no other players around him, while Cape Verde had chances through Willy Semedo, Kevin Pina and Laros Duarte but could not find a winner.
