Base reported a second mainnet block production disruption within two days, with block production stopping at 15:33 UTC and resuming at 16:11 UTC after the team confirmed the issue. According to Odaily, Base said node operators need to restart Base mainnet nodes to complete resynchronization.
Base said the incident showed a chain halt and had similar symptoms to the previous day’s disruption. On Thursday, Base said an abnormal block prevented the sequencer from building new blocks, halting the network for about two hours.
Base said user funds were not affected during the earlier incident, but withdrawal services were temporarily interrupted. Base said the network has now returned to normal operation.
