More Than 360,000 Old Residential Elevators Updated With Support From Ultra-Long Special Treasury Bonds

China has updated more than 360,000 old residential elevators under a program supported by ultra-long special treasury bonds.

According to Jin10, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development said that since the country included the renovation and replacement of aging residential elevators within the funding support scope of ultra-long special treasury bonds, local governments have actively relied on the policy to accelerate related work.

The ministry said the effort has aimed to improve residents’ convenience in daily travel, and the cumulative number of updated aging residential elevators has now exceeded 360,000 units.
