Investors sold shares of the “Magnificent Seven” U.S. stocks on Monday, while SpaceX fell 16% and posted its third straight session of declines.
According to Odaily, Charles Schwab chief investment strategist Liz Ann Sonders said areas tied to artificial intelligence and technology remain a key focus for retail investors, though their trading activity in individual stocks has become less active than before.
Sonders said the change does not reflect a loss of interest in the broader technology or AI sectors, but rather a shift in how retail investors trade. She said trading is now more concentrated in broader exchange-traded funds instead of buying and selling single stocks.
Sonders added that corporate earnings remain the most important fundamental factor supporting equities.
