Meta to Lead $900 Million Series H in CRED at $4.5 Billion Valuation

Meta will lead a $900 million (₹8,550 crore) Series H round in Indian fintech CRED, valuing it at $4.5 billion (₹43,239 crore) post-money. According to BeInCrypto, the deal includes primary and secondary share purchases, and Meta will join CRED’s cap table as a minority investor without access to customer data. Founder Kunal Shah will step down as CEO to join Meta’s global leadership team as head of WhatsApp, succeeding Will Cathcart; Shah will retain his stake in CRED. Miten Sampat becomes interim CEO with immediate effect as the board builds toward an eventual public listing.
