CITIC Securities: China Vaccine Batch Releases Rose 14.1% YoY to 875 in Q1 2026

A research note from CITIC Securities said China’s vaccine industry recorded 875 batch releases in the first quarter of 2026, up 14.1% year on year, driven mainly by sharp increases in releases of polio, measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) and hepatitis vaccines, according to 36Kr. On the R&D front, the note said several products or new indications were approved in Q1 2026, including Chengda Bio’s human diploid rabies vaccine, CanSino’s MCV4 meningococcal vaccine age-range expansion and its acellular pertussis combination vaccine, and Shenzhen Kangtai Biological Products’ quadrivalent split influenza vaccine. It added that multiple other vaccine candidates are in the marketing review stage.
