The UK Foreign Office has dropped its advice against travelling to the UAE, and also lifted warnings against travelling to Qatar and most parts of Saudi Arabia, after the US and Iran reached an agreement to stop the war, according to BBC. Updated travel advice pages warn that “the situation remains unpredictable” and that “attacks could resume at short notice” in the region.

Thousands of Britons were left stranded in the Middle East when the conflict first broke out, and many airlines suspended flights to major travel hubs. British Airways suspended flights until October 2026 and Virgin Atlantic until winter 2027 after the war started, while state-owned Emirates continued operating flights during the conflict. More than 1.4 million Brits visited Dubai last year, according to official data.
