An adviser to Iran’s supreme leader said Iran will not abandon the capabilities it has gained in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Odaily, Iran’s Fars News Agency reported the remarks.
Separately, Iranian sources said Iran-U.S. talks were temporarily paused after 80 minutes of negotiations to allow for a break and internal consultations, with mediators from Pakistan and Qatar participating.
The sources said Iran’s nuclear program was not discussed in the first round of talks. They added that the current negotiations focused on implementing Article 13 of a memorandum of understanding and prioritizing issues related to Lebanon.
