Canada midfielder Ismael Koné underwent surgery after suffering a broken leg in Canada’s 6-0 World Cup win over Qatar, according to Yahoo Sports. Koné was injured in a challenge by Qatar’s Assim Madibo, who was sent off after a VAR review, and teammate Moïse Bombito visited Koné in hospital in Vancouver and posted a photo on Instagram.
