2026-06-18 10:17:09
Tech workers who used artificial intelligence (AI) less than monthly faced three times the layoff risk of peers who used it at least monthly. According to BeInCrypto, Gallup’s survey found laid-off workers were less likely to use AI: 62% used it once a year or less versus 50% of employed workers, while 28% of employed respondents used AI frequently versus 22% of those laid off. Tech workers accounted for 13% of laid-off workers but 6% of the employed workforce. Only 1% cited AI as the primary cause of their layoff.
